Newton - Newton Upper Falls

Newton Upper Falls, one of the thirteen villages comprising Newton, Massachusetts, is bordered by Needham, Massachusetts to the south, Wellesley, Massachusetts to the west, the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston to the southeast, and the Newton villages of Waban, Newton Centre and Newton Highlands to the north and east. It is the only Newton village that has retained its original name since its founding in the 1600’s. Despite its small area, Newton Upper Falls has many fine apartments and over 150 homes on the national historic register.

There is rapid light rail service to Boston and riverside provided by the Eliot T station, part of the Green Line “D” branch. Newton Upper falls is a quick six mile commute to downtown Boston on Route 9.

Scenic Newton Upper Falls is home to famous Hemlock Gorge and Echo Bridge, which is a large aqueduct over the beautiful Charles River, and is now a pedestrian walkway.
