Needham
Needham, MA is located along the Charles River just 10 miles southwest of Boston. It was one of the later Boston suburbs to develop commercially and remained an agricultural town through the 18th century. Eventually, once the railroad was extended into Needham, industrial growth began in the 19th century with the town’s commerce centered on knit goods. Land speculation and knitted products remained as Needham’s main source of economical growth into the 20th century. It wasn’t until the post WWII electronic boom that the city really reached a more modern commercial standing.
Today, Needham, MA is a pleasant suburban neighborhood with plenty of opportunity in its borders. The Needham area is known for job availability along with easy access to Boston for the commuting workforce. Needham apartments may be a little further out from Boston than most of our rental listings, but they offer a suburban life that can’t be found in Boston’s borders.
