East Boston

Once a hub for shipbuilding, East Boston began as a home for many immigrating Bostonians.  Today, its population is still widely diverse. That diversity is reflected in East Boston's variety of ethnic restaurants.

In 1870, the nation's first branch library was built in this neighborhood.  East Boston is also home to Logan Airport, which makes living in an East Boston apartment a must for business people who commute out of state.  East Boston apartments are a mixture of new and old, including many renovated triple-decker homes.  With downtown Boston just across Boston Harbor, residents of East Boston apartments enjoy phenomenal waterfront views of the Boston skyline.
